BOOKS

In the beginning, God spoke.
And His Word created. His Word brought forth life!

Words are powerful and beautiful and magnificently able- because our God is able. And He speaks life.

I HOPE THESE WRITINGS SPEAK LIFE

Brave Good Secrets

33 Poems of Vulnerable Truth

These poems are 2am rants. Small thoughts of the heart. Morning moments encapsulated in words. Small pictures of vulnerability. Dared to be spoken and brought out into the light. They are simple. They are deep. They are light as needed. They are full of essence and wondering. They are unknown. To be sought out. They are mystical. And known truths. They are living and lived. Brave and good. Quietly, resoundingly loud and effervescent with hope. They are uncontained and uncontainable. Daring and bold. They are what we are. Brave. Good. Secrets yet to be known.

To You...

What if the desires in your heart were there for a reason? To You… is a reminder. That dreams can happen. That the puzzle pieces of our lives do eventually fit together. That the little parts of life that we enjoy and the transitions we go through all have meaning- because God has taken hold of us and puts dreams in our hearts for a reason. For His purposes. To You… so you know that dreams happen. That even the small parts of your life matter. That your life is a story full of dreams yet to be thought of and realized.

LEND FREE POEM WRITTEN + PERFORMED BY SARAH HENSLEY
VIDEO PRODUCED BY JOSEPH SPAULDING

Lend Free is a poem about poverty and the hope that can be found amidst it. It goes deep into the reality of three main types of physical/emotional poverty and how they are manifest in people’s lives. It also shows that because we are brothers and sisters in humanity, there is something we can do about the barriers that stand in our own lives and in the lives of others. Every person has the ability to use their talents and resources to change their community for good.

“Lend Free” isn’t just a one-time act of service – it is a lifestyle.
